MI4 | Mi4 Cable IP Client Set-Top

ARRIS is meeting the growing subscriber demand for HD and 4K content with the Mi4 (IP900) IP Client. The Mi4 is a member of the ARRIS family of set-tops supporting the TiVo user experience. It is an IP client that interfaces and received video content from a media gateway in the home such as the such as the MG1 and MG2 Cable Media Gateways. It has full 4Kp60 output and supports HDR10 programming.

The Mi4 has a compact enclosure measuring just 5.5”W x 5.5”D x 1.1”H. With support of the RF4CE remote control protocol, line of sight to the IP900 is not required. These features offer consumers flexibility in the placement of the device.

Improved Watch-and-Record Capabilities
Consumers value the watch-and-record flexibility they get with the Mi4 client. It comes with an integrated MoCA® 2.0 home networking interface, which allows it to serve as a client to a high-speed multimedia hub via existing coaxial cables in walls eliminating the need for new wiring installation. This delivers whole home networking for service like Multi-Room DVR. With MR DVR you can record or pause, fast-forward or replay the shows you are watching on any TV in your home.

TiVo® Integration
At 12000 DMIPS, the Mi4 is the highest performing client supporting the TiVo® user experience on the market. For multi-room DVR, the Mi4 interoperates with ARRIS supplied TiVo® Video Gateways including the MG1 and MG2. The Mi4 supports standard TiVo features such as integrated search across linear channels, video on demand , and streaming applications.
