Features and Benefits
The NVG558 family of advanced multiservice gateways deliver managed voice, video, data and IoT services over fixed wireless broadband access networks, with options for use on 4G LTE / LTE-A / LTE-A Pro or 3.5GHz CBRS, with potential for 5G in the future.
These devices provide Service Providers with a cost-effective alternative to wireline networks, for example, to move consumers to higher service tiers in rural areas or where new cable installation to the premises would be required. Wireless access offers lower cost and faster installation time than wired access.
The product range includes support for 3.5 GHz Citizen Broadband Radio Services (CBRS). As well as being ideal for Service Providers to deliver services over licenced spectrum, the gateways are also suitable for Enterprises seeking the flexibility, performance and security of their own private CBRS LTE network.
As Wi-Fi is now the primary means of connecting devices in the home, the NVG558 offers high-performance Wi-Fi, which includes the option of the latest Wi-Fi 6 standard for enhanced performance. There is also the choice of dual-band (2.4GHz & 5GHz) Wi-Fi or tri-band (2.4GHz, 5GHz, 5GHz), useful for enhancing capacity & performance when used with Wi-Fi network extenders. Our gateways are capable* of being part of a HomeAssure®Managed Wi-Fi solution. HomeAssure® delivers optimized, high-performance Wi-Fi to every corner of the home, while offering ease of use for the consumer and reduced OpEx costs for the service provider.
A platform for new services - Support for Docker® containerization accelerates and simplifies deployment of new applications and services. Adding radios such as ZigBee®, Z-Wave® and Bluetooth® LE makes the gateway an ideal platform for delivering IoT services in the home.
Robust and secure - The ARRIS 9.x Firmware the result of over 17 years of development and use in major Telcos. It includes advanced security and Quality of Service (QoS) features, with extensive remote management capabilities.
